Prescription renewals are processed via e-Perearstikeskus (national patient portal). Typically ready within 5 working days.

This is the preferred channel - you can send a request at any time. The doctor will renew the prescription within 5 working days.
By phone (alternative)
Call +372 613 8887 on weekdays 8:00-18:00. State the medication name and dose.

For an acute illness (first occurrence), the prescription is issued on the same day. For repeat prescriptions, please plan ahead.
Prescription validity
Single prescription - valid 60 days. Triple prescription (long-term treatment) - valid 180 days.
How to check your prescription status
Once issued, your prescription is visible through terviseportaal.ee (Terviseportaal, also known as Digilugu). There you can view all active and past prescriptions.
What to keep in mind
- When requesting a repeat prescription, include: the medication name, dose, and the reason you are taking it.
- The doctor decides whether to renew the prescription on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, a consultation appointment may be required before the prescription can be renewed.
- Prescriptions cannot be issued retroactively - please request your prescription before your current supply runs out.
- Health data cannot be communicated by email.
Uninsured patients
If you do not have Estonian health insurance (Tervisekassa - the national health insurance fund), there is a fee for requesting a prescription (see price list). The prescription fee is 15 €.
