After hours - where to go?

Our practice is open Monday-Friday 8:00-18:00. This guide explains where to turn for help outside our opening hours.

Choose based on urgency

Life-threatening emergency

Loss of consciousness, suspected cardiac arrest, severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), heavy bleeding, signs of stroke (facial drooping, difficulty speaking, arm weakness).

Call 112 - ambulance will come to you.

Serious but not life-threatening

Injury requiring immediate treatment, high fever in a child, severe pain that is not easing, acute symptoms that need examination the same day.

A&E - hospital emergency department, open 24/7. Nearest in Tallinn: North Estonia Medical Centre (Põhja-Eesti Regionaalhaigla), Sütiste tee 19, +372 617 1790.

Need a doctor today - after hours

Worsening symptoms, persistent fever, wound check etc. - when your family practice is closed.

Valvekliinik - 5 911 0909
Walk-in clinic in the same building (Ülemiste Tervisemaja 2, Sepapaja 12/1), Monday-Saturday. We serve patients in English, Estonian, Russian and Finnish. Fee applies. No referral needed.

Need advice - not an emergency

Not sure whether the situation is serious? Don't want to worry through the night?

Call 1220 - GP advice line (perearsti nõuandeliin). Daily 8:00-22:00, in Estonian only, free of charge. A nurse team helps assess the severity of your situation.
